Thirdly as you move towards the northern section of the property you will notice a very distinct hardwood lined ridge that dumps down into the creek bottom. This has to be one of my favorite attributes of the farm offering a gorgeous elevation change while creating a natural deer funnel. While taking photos of this property large rubs and scrapes were highly prevalent. Not to move the highlight from deer to turkey but every spring the toms roost in the mature walnut groves in the creek bottom and every morning fly down and strut on top of the ridge. Even with turkey numbers being down across the state this farm consistently holds many toms every year.
